Legendary thief Lupin the 3rd is looking to steal hearts (and the Japanese box office) this weekend when Lupin the 3rd: THE FIRST premieres. On the same day, fans can try their luck at a new lottery to win some cool movie-themed prizes.
The limited-edition goods are based on the items and character designs in the film, and are available in limited quantities. Top of the heap as the S-Prize is a “Bresson Diary” notebook, with a watermark of Lupin’s famous sign-off:
A-Prize is a stainless steel mug, featuring Lupin’s silhouette and the film logo:
B-Prize is a small hand towel, with a blue and white striped pattern on one side reminiscent of Lupin’s boxers:
C-Prize is one of five wall decals sporting the silhouette of Lupin, Jigen, Goemon, Fujiko, or Zenigata:
And D-Prize is one of five memo pads featuring the main cast:
The lottery costs 700 yen per play, plus a one-time shipping fee of 500 yen. It opens December 6, and prizes will ship out in April 2020. Unfortunately, they do not ship outside Japan, so you may need a little extra help if you want to go for one of these prizes.
Lupin the 3rd: THE FIRST opens December 6 in Japan. At the time of publication, there is still no word on an international release.
