Harry told fans at the WellChild Awards on Tuesday that “you can see it in his eyebrows,” according to Hello! Magazine’s royal editor Emily Nash.
“Meghan said he has and Harry said he definitely is, you can see it in his eyebrows,” one fan said of the conversation.
“Harry said he’d had no hair for five months, but Meghan told him she had taken him to playgroup and she said there were other children there with the same amount of hair or even less.”
Fans and the media speculated Archie could have red hair after new pictures surfaced during the family’s royal tour of Africa in September.
However, in other photos, the lighting made it seem like the royal might have had brown hair instead, so it was hard to be sure.
Ellen DeGeneres had also commented that Archie “looks just like Harry, and he had more hair than I did at the time.”
She added that she “got to hold little Archie, the baby” when visiting the family in London.
The fact Archie is definitely ginger means Markle must be a “secret ginger” — meaning that despite not being ginger herself, she carries the redhead gene, according to Insider’s Lindsay Dodgson.
With Harry being a natural ginger and Markle carrying the gene, that means there was a 50% chance that Archie would inherit his father’s hair.
